Cobra Front Line Offensive

50th Viper Officer anniversary GI Joe Cobra POC ROC Rise of Cobra Pursuit of Cobra Retaliation CAT Spy Troops Alley Viper Shock Trooper Cobra Soldier

Springfield turns into a shocking scene as Cobras stages an all-out defensive battle against GI Joes entering the city…

Honestly, this is a weird figure, but I like him in some way. The colors work fairly well for urban environments, and they’re just close enough to some of the items in the background to be cohesive with them (excluding that Cobra Trooper). I like using him in CQC roles, hence the shotgun.

50th Anniversary Beachhead

Beachhead and Ripcord search for the whereabouts of Skullbuster.

I like this Beachhead figure, it’s nice all around and is a faithful, solid update to the ARAH figure. Still, or all the items in Hasbro’s “vault” to chose from, there were others I’d have rather had for the 50th Anniversary line. I think the POC version of Beachhead was a bit nicer personally.

25th Ripcord, Assault on Cobra Island

Ripcord makes a successful landing on Cobra Island…

Not many of the 25th Anniversary GI Joes have aged well, but this guy was pretty decent, especially once you give him some better parts. I’ve decked this one out with the helmet from Renegades Ripcord, a FN FAL from Marauders, and the parachute in the background is from Retaliation Ultimate Flint. It’s weird to think he wasn’t this way to begin with.

First Strike

4th of duke 152

Duke leads a mission into the middle of Springfield, dangerous Cobra territory. Nothing a GI Joe can’t handle.

I thought there really couldn’t be a better way to start a GI Joe blog than with a picture of POC Duke. This will mainly be a gallery of my diorama shots, but that’s not to say I won’t casually blog news I like, or review a figure every now and then. So welcome to the Viper Pit!
